In Sardinia, the alert for the passage of Cyclone Harry remains high on Tuesday ( ALL THE NEWS HERE ).
In the last few hours, the island has been hit by torrential rains, with homes evacuated, roads blocked, and approximately 300 firefighters called out for fallen trees, unsafe poles, cornices, roof tiles, and damaged billboards. Many bridges and roads, including the 195 Sulcitana, have been closed as a precaution.
In Cagliari, rescue operations were launched after a floating restaurant structure broke its moorings due to the storm surge, which were reinforced by firefighters. In Tortolì, there was a fear after a tree fell on a car carrying two people, who were injured but not seriously.
In the southeastern part of the island, very high rainfall thresholds have been reached: in the areas of Sinnai, Armungia and Jerzu over 150 mm of rain have already fallen in 48 hours, in Siliqua and Pula between 100 and 150 mm.
High alert is also maintained at the dams: the alert phase at Maccheronis continues , while, in addition to those already under alarm, those at Bosa Monte Crispu, Sa Teula, Bau Muggeris and Monti di Deu have also been placed on pre-alert for hydraulic risk downstream.

Several municipalities woke up without power this morning. Reports emerged from Capoterra, but also from Mandas and Siurgus Donigala, where the mayors reported a fault with technicians already working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Due to adverse weather conditions in the last few hours, which have caused flooding, state road 195 "Sulcitana" is temporarily closed in both directions, from km 5.221 to km 10.600 in Cagliari, and from km 63 to km 65 in Teulada. State road 389 "Di Budduso' e del Correboi" is also closed in both directions due to flooding, from km 27.500 to km 34.900 in Alà dei Sardi, in the province of Sassari.

A tragedy was narrowly avoided on Viale Arbatax in Tortolì. A tree fell onto a passing car, destroying its front end. There were no injuries.
