Israeli authorities are investigating the attack on the plane for terrorism. The perpetrator is believed to be from Oman. The plane lands in Saudi Arabia thanks to other pilots who were on board off-duty.
A violent struggle at the controls triggered an emergency. Passengers reported: "There's been a stabbing." The flight was forced to land in Saudi Arabia.
The Flydubai airliner, with around 150 passengers on board, descended to a suspicious altitude after raising the alarm and diverted its route to Saudi Arabia.
