Investigations are underway in Abruzzo to shed light on the death of Denisella Contini, a 58-year-old of Sardinian origin, found lifeless in a reed bed.

The macabre discovery was made in Francavilla al Mare , in the province of Chieti, where the woman lived with her husband.

According to local press reports, it was the latter - a truck driver who had just returned from a business trip - who sounded the alarm five days ago after the woman's disappearance.

The investigations of the carabinieri were therefore triggered, who searched the area and finally found the body of the 58-year-old, mother of three children, among the vegetation, not far from the house owned by the couple.

The body was lying in a kind of makeshift bed created behind a bush, where a tarp, a blanket, a flashlight, a bottle of water and two insulin syringes were also found.

According to the first investigations, the body would not show signs of violence , except for those left by the bites of some wild animals , perhaps wild boars, which would have approached the corpse. This is a clue that could confirm that the woman had been in that place for a few days. It remains to be understood why he was there, despite the proximity of his home and the cold temperatures of this period.

For the investigators it would still be a voluntary removal .

The deputy public prosecutor of Chieti Giuseppe Falasca who coordinates the investigations could order further investigations, starting with the autopsy.
