The heavy rainfall recorded in the last few hours and the resulting flooding that has affected several stretches of the Aniene River and its tributaries have prompted the Regional Civil Protection Directorate, faced with a clear hydraulic crisis, to issue a red alert for the Aniene River area.

This was stated by Pasquale Ciacciarelli, regional councilor of Lazio.

"All citizens, and especially those in the red zone," he specifies, "are therefore urged to avoid travel in the next few hours and to maintain a state of precaution."
