Grief and emotion throughout Italy as the final farewell was paid to the six young Italians who died in the tragic New Year's Eve fire at the “Le Constellation” club in the well-known Swiss ski resort of Crans-Montana .

Funerals were held in the victims' cities of residence: Riccardo Minghetti's in Rome, Giovanni Tamburi's in Bologna, Achille Barosi and Chiara Costanzo in Milan, and Sofia Prosperi, the youngest victim, in Lugano. A private funeral was held for Emanuele Galeppini.

A minute of silence was observed in memory of the six teenagers in all Italian schools. "A way to remember the young victims and express our closeness to their families," explained the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara , who attended the commemoration at the Orsoline di San Carlo Institute, the Milan school where Achille Barosi studied.
