Alfonso Signorini, who was questioned today by Milan prosecutors as an indictee based on the complaint, denied the allegations of sexual assault and extortion contained in the complaint filed by former Big Brother VIP contestant Antonio Medugno. The journalist and TV host—as reported by Ansa—presented himself voluntarily before prosecutors who are investigating the incident discussed by Fabrizio Corona in his program "Falsissimo." Signorini, assisted by lawyers Daniela Missaglia and Domenico Aiello, defended himself with spontaneous statements and in response to questions. His version of events was completely at odds with Medugno's complaint. On December 30, it was learned that the Public Prosecutor's Office, headed by Marcello Viola and including prosecutors Alessandro Gobbis and Letizia Mannella, head of the sex crimes team, had opened an investigation against the journalist.
This action was necessary following the complaint filed by Medugno, along with lawyers Cristina Morrone and Giuseppe Pipicella. Meanwhile, Corona, registered for revenge porn based on Signorini's complaint, had already been heard on December 23rd, again as a suspect and at his own request. The complaint was filed after the former "king of the paparazzi," through the program "Falsissimo," essentially accused Signorini—who has since suspended himself from his Mediaset commitments, including hosting Big Brother—of having carried out a "system" of sexual favors requested—this is the version of the former photo agent and essentially that of Medugno—from some Big Brother contestants or those aspiring to enter the now-famous "house." Today, after being questioned by prosecutors for over three hours, Signorini denied these accusations, asserting his integrity and professionalism and also addressing the issue of chat rooms. It was precisely the revenge porn file that led to the seizure of photos, videos, and chats, prompting Medugno, who participated in the 2021-2022 edition, to come forward and report Signorini. Former Big Brother VIP Gianluca Costantino, assisted by lawyer Leonardo D'Erasmo, had also announced in recent days that he was considering filing a complaint.
"Unfortunately, at that moment, I trusted my old manager completely, so I downplayed everything because they had manipulated me into thinking it was the right thing to do," said Medugno, who will soon be interviewed by prosecutors, as required by the Red Code procedure for those reporting violence. After gathering all versions and conducting the necessary technical investigations, investigators will be able to assess the matter and decide whether to broaden the scope of the investigation.
