The Befana flies to Ogliastra and brings one and a half million euros to Jerzu : here the fourth prize of the Italian Lottery was sold . The series is D019458 . The first prize in Rome (T270462), 5 million euros. The second (2.5 million, E334755) in Ciampino , the third in Quattro Castella , Reggio Emilia (2 million, L430243), the fifth in Albano Laziale (province of Rome, Q331024). The draw was made during a special episode, on Rai 1, of “Affari Tuoi”, hosted by Stefano De Martino.

The news arrived in Jerzu just before midnight, sparking excitement and curiosity throughout Ogliastra , already on the hunt for the lucky owner of the millionaire ticket. Sardinia had long been on the sidelines of the biggest wins in the Epiphany draw. Now, Basilicata, Molise, Trentino-Alto Adige, and Valle d'Aosta remain the only five regions still without a millionaire.

Two fourth category prizes of 20 thousand euros also arrived in Sardinia: the winning tickets were sold in Cagliari, two (N039509 and N310054), Villacidro (F051382) and La Maddalena (B324560).

The Italian Lottery confirms its positive tradition in Sardinia. According to official data from the Customs and Monopolies Agency, 111,480 tickets were sold throughout the region, 8.4% more than last year .

At the provincial level , Cagliari is still the leader with 36,080 tickets sold, +8.5% compared to 2024. Following closely behind, as reported by Agipronews, is Sassari (33,760, +9.5%).

Among the other provinces, the highest percentage of sales compared to 2024 was once again recorded in Oristano (16,720, +21.2%). Southern Sardinia bucked the trend, dropping by 3.9%, corresponding to 16,180 tickets.

Nuoro closes the count with 8,740 (+7.6%).

Nationwide, over 9.6 million tickets were sold, an 11% increase over last year, when approximately 8.6 million were sold. This figure confirms Italians' connection to this traditional game, which the Customs and Monopolies Agency has, for several years, combined with the "Disegnamo la fortuna" project, a competition dedicated to artists with disabilities who created the 12 works featured on Lotteria Italia tickets.
