Murder with double aggravating circumstances: that of "vile motives" and that of having committed the crime in the immediate vicinity of the Bologna train station.
This is the charge that the Prosecutor's Office intends to bring against Marin Jelenic , the 36-year-old Croatian arrested on charges of murdering train conductor Alessandro Ambrosio , 34 years old.
The man— arrested by police on Tuesday evening in Desenzano —will appear before investigators for a hearing to validate his arrest.
The real motive for the crime (the two did not know each other) is yet to be ascertained. The crime was committed on the evening of January 5th, with a stab wound to the lung.
Meanwhile, railway staff in Emilia-Romagna have called a strike for today in solidarity with their colleague and to demand greater safety in stations and on trains.
