A 33-year-old Nigerian woman died in hospital after being left critically ill ten days ago by her ex-partner, a 32-year-old Nigerian, who allegedly beat her with a broom. The incident occurred in Castel Volturno (Caserta) in the final days of 2025.

The man was stopped by the police and is now in prison on the order of the investigating judge of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere court.

The arrest took place in a terraced house, where officers from the Castel Volturno police station intervened following a report of an argument between a man and a woman.
