An Israeli airstrike struck a four-story building in the eastern Lebanese city of Baalbek , according to state media. Lebanon's state-run National News Agency (NNA) stated that "enemy aircraft targeted a four-story building at dawn" inside a residential complex in Baalbek, an area under Hezbollah control. The NNA reported "numerous martyrs and that work is underway to rescue families from the rubble." According to Lebanese state media, the IDF also struck a hotel in the Beirut suburb of Hazmieh.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has said it maintains "total control" of the Strait of Hormuz, a key chokepoint for global oil trade at the entrance to the Persian Gulf. "Currently, the Strait of Hormuz is under the total control of the Islamic Republic Navy," said Mohammad Akbarzadeh, a senior IRGC naval officer, as reported by the Fars news agency.
On the ground, however, while Al Jazeera reports that a drone struck the US embassy's logistical support camp near Baghdad International Airport in Iraq, US raids in Iran continue, with missiles falling in various areas of the country.
