Work in progress, traffic paralyzed on the roads towards the Poetto

In Cagliari hundreds of cars lined up throughout the morning and early afternoon both in viale Diaz and in viale Colombo .

A series of barriers due to work in progress , which appeared for weeks in the extension of Via Roma and recently also in the road that runs along the sea, today paralyzed the Sunday traffic of those who had thought of spending a few pleasant hours at Poetto.

A large number of exasperated motorists found themselves stuck just after the traffic circle in front of the Ichnusa pier.

Once they finished on the straight they had to continue at walking pace to overcome Viale Colombo, at least up to Su Siccu. It did not go better for those who entered viale Diaz: the narrowing near the parking lot in viale Cimitero created a plug there too, forcing the vehicles to wait long.

Only in the late afternoon, when the traffic towards the Poetto dropped, did the situation more or less normalize.
