Explosion in Sassari: Antonello Lambroni dies after being burned in the collapse.

After ten days of agony, Antonello Lambroni, the 62-year-old who was seriously injured in the explosion in an apartment in Via Don Minzoni on June 30 , has died.

The man was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Santissima Annunziata hospital with second-degree burns covering 70% of his body . He died during the night.

The explosion, caused by a gas leak, had destroyed the intersection between Via Don Minzoni and Via Principessa Maria, reducing part of the building to rubble.

Lambroni was extracted from the ruins still alive thanks to the intervention of the firefighters and the 118 paramedics .

His condition, critical from the very beginning, never showed significant improvements.
