A municipal road full of pitfalls and dangers that put the safety of citizens at serious risk. Via Funtana Cherchi, a local road in the municipality of Porto Torres, presents all the characteristics of a disastrous route, without lighting, without panoramic mirrors, with long waste dumps on the sides of the road, abandoned on several occasions.

The Porto Torres Avanti council group declares itself ready to present a complaint to the Forestry Corps, the firefighters and the Public Prosecutor's Office. “Citizens' lives are at risk,” reiterate councilors Bastianino Spanu and Costantino Ligas. «The numerous reports from residents sent via certified email to the Municipality were of no avail, just as the questions and reports from the "Porto Torres Avanti" group, brought several times to the attention of the mayor and the competent councilors, fell on deaf ears. Communications still today without any response."

The council members had asked the local police for a report on the case. The rural road burdened by public use is crossed every day by tourists and locals, a risky route among the vegetation that invades the roadway, «huge potholes in the asphalt, non-existent public lighting, with citizens on a war footing against a 'municipal administration'. Councilors Spanu and Ligas are determined to bring the danger of the municipal road in Via Funtana Cherchi to the attention of the competent authorities. «In some sections it has become impracticable and inevitably dangerous - they add - and the carelessness in cutting the bushes is highlighted which is causing the narrowing of the road surface, already critical in itself, creating danger when multiple vehicles meet with difficulty in transit, reduced visibility and constant risk of accidents, without neglecting the risk of fire". They therefore ask for immediate intervention.
