There are 128 flamingo chicks , born in Molentargius, ready to fly and leave – for the first time – the colony. On their paws, to prepare them for a life of continuous migration, a PVC ring and a metal one with codes have been affixed that will allow observers to reconstruct the movements and life stories of each individual.

This year is the 18th ringing campaign in Sardinia since 1997. The activities required the participation of about 50 people, including professionals, technicians and volunteers.

Thanks go to #Anthus who, like every year, organizes the campaign with attention to every detail, to #ISPRA for coordination, to the #Clinicaveterinariadeiduemari for veterinary assistance, to the #CorpoForestalediVigilanzambientale for the assistance and in particular to all the #volunteers who, with their dedication, are decisive in the success of this delicate monitoring technique".
