Tanker overturned, 131 northbound reopened
The heavy vehicle overturned on its side in the middle of the road at the crossroads for Birori and Bortigali
State road 131 has been reopened to traffic after it had been closed in the direction of Sassari due to an overturned tanker at the crossroads for Birori, Bortigali and Macomer. The road system had been rerouted to alternative roads.
The dynamics of the accident are not clear, the heavy vehicle may have hit the traffic guardrail and then overturned on its side.
The tanker leaked diesel: the vehicle was removed and the road cleared of oil and debris.
