Situation of great danger in the ridge adjacent to the distant church of Balai, on the rocky coast that leads from Porto Torres to Platamona. Numerous limestone boulders are poised in the precipice overlooking the sea (about 40 meters) and could fall at any moment.

The crystal clear mirror of the bay below, especially in the summer season, is frequented by divers and boats. Therefore, they are exposed to considerable risks if something is not done immediately: either signal the danger or prevent the permanence in these waters.

The Porto Torres - Platamona coast has been undergoing inexorable coastal erosion for decades. So far, little or nothing has been done to contain it. In fact, even the tower of Abbacurrente, of considerable historical value, is at serious risk of collapse.
