The Temple Prosecutor's Office asks for the trial for the Covid infection of workers in the Gallura nightclubs. Eight months after the notice of the investigations concluded, the head of prosecutors Gregorio Capasso signed the request for indictment for the CEO of the Billionaire, Roberto Pretto, accused of not having adopted the anti-contagion measures (masks, isolation of employees with symptoms and other measures). For Pretto the complaints are those of culpable epidemic and injuries. Luciano Guidi and Franco William Carrington, respectively directors of the companies that own the Phi Beach and the Porto Rotondo Country Club, are charged only with the crime of injury, for the contagion of some employees.

The prosecutor also directly calls into question the companies. The persons indicated in the list of injured parties are 24, all workers of the Gallura nightclubs referred to in the deed filed with the Court in Tempio. These are the alleged victims of Covid infections, which occurred in the tourist resorts of Gallura at the turn of August 2020. The criminal file was opened after the controversy over the Sardinian nightlife, but above all on the basis of reports from trade unions, in particular the CGIL. The confederal acronym, it must be said, was not limited to reporting the problem to the judiciary after the fact.

In reality, the managers of the CGIL of Olbia, completely unheard, had asked for protections for the workers of the discos of the Gallura tourist resorts since the spring of 2020. The defendants of the persons under investigation await notifications to prepare their activities. From the very first stages of the investigation, the companies called into question have always considered the accusations unfounded, indeed completely unexpected. The investigations reveal the irresponsible conduct of dozens of young customers (some identified and reported) of the discos at the center of the investigation. The boys were aware of their very high-risk conduct, because in some cases they had symptoms of Covid infections or had arrived on the island (without taking any precautions) from other foreign tourist locations where there were outbreaks.
