The perpetrator of the two violent robberies committed in recent months against an 80-year-old local has been identified by the Carabinieri of Quartu.

THE FACTS - On 6 September, returning to his home, the elderly man was joined by a stranger who had even followed him from Piazza Matteotti in Cagliari on board a bus. When he got off at the stop in Sant'Andrea di Quartu, the 80-year-old was attacked by the stranger who, with force, had led him into the house, beaten and then robbed of cash and personal items. Because of the incident, the elderly man had been forced to seek medical attention who had found excoriations in various parts of his body.

Similar episode after about twenty days. While he was near his home, the old man was joined again by the same stranger, who had thrown him to the ground by slipping from his pockets, after having beaten him several times, a sum of cash in cash.

Thanks also to the images extrapolated from the video surveillance systems of the scheduled vehicles as well as to the numerous observation and patrolling services, the military managed to trace the identity of the serial robber.

The man, 60 years old from Cagliari with specific precedents, was then denounced in a state of freedom for robbery and a substantial information was prepared against him sent to the judicial authority.
