Eight hundred and thirty-six thousand euros a month, more or less. Over 9 million in all, between January and November, between the amount of the reports and notification costs borne by the fined person: this amount (9,192,571.91 euros in all, to be precise) amounts to the treasure of the Municipality of Cagliari which comes from fines in 2022 . More than expected, with an increase of around 700 thousand euros. So much so that the town hall offices had to integrate the entry assessment.

Half of the money collected from the minutes is tied up and must be used to improve the city's road system. And the accounts, at this point of the year, are rich.

The tables of the local police, drawn up on the basis of the reports of the Maggioli company which takes care of the documentation, speak of 8,051,098.85 euros in income for violations of the highway code (of these, 3,571 are charged to public administrations).

Then there is a specific item dedicated to exceeding the speed limits: speed cameras brought 217,497 euros into the coffers of the Municipality.

The violation of municipal regulations cost the offenders 519,044 euros (an example: owners of premises who have illegally occupied public land).

To the "live" fines is added the amount of notification costs, payable by those who have not complied with the rules: they amount to 598,264.94 euros for the highway code and 24,164.09 for other violations.

Curiosity: there is a zero in the entrance section which derives from the fines imposed on those who throw butts on the ground. The ordinance is in force, few respect it. But no one enforces it.
