An extra euro per person. The Municipality of Cabras has decided to increase the tourist tax, the contribution paid by those who stay and which the managers of the structures then pay into the administration coffers. For the lagoon Municipality it will be a way to have more cash and therefore guarantee more services to tourists. But that's not all: "It will also be a way to be able to close the budget - says the mayor Andrea Abis - given that for now we know that much less will come from museum sites than last year".

For 4-star hotels, the amount that will be paid into the coffers of the Municipality will be 3 euros per day per person . For those with three stars and under two euros and 50. For non-hotel structures such as farm holidays, bed and breakfasts, campsites and holiday homes, the amount to be paid will be two euros . It's all written in resolution number 11 approved by the council on 11 January. The figures refer to each individual guest.

The tax will only apply to holidaymakers aged 12 and over. The contribution will be requested only for the first seven days of stay. Patients who have to carry out medical check-ups in local structures, those staying in accommodation facilities as a result of provisions adopted by public authorities , volunteers who provide service during disasters, coach drivers who provide assistance to groups organized by travel agencies, members of the police force who stay in the area for service reasons, university students aged 26 and residents of the Municipalities of the Union of Municipalities of Costa del Sinis.
