Two hundred, three hundred thousand cubic meters: this is the result of the rains of recent days for the Maccheronis dam, in Torpè, where the red alert remains . Restrictions in place for weeks for agricultural businesses, the risk is of heavy "cuts" also for drinking water, or for house taps. In the dam, which can contain 23 million cubic meters of water, the volume stops at 3.6 million.

Good news, in perspective: on Monday, at the headquarters of Enas (the Sardinian water authority), in Cagliari, the tender envelopes will be opened for the works to raise the level of the reservoir (eight meters more in the "wall" that retains the water), which will allow the reserves to be brought, obviously in case of rain, to around thirty million cubic metres. The work is expected to be completed in two years.
