After more than 24 hours of occupation, the miners of Silius concluded the protest , climbing from the more than 600 meters deep shafts. In fact, the Filctem, Femca and Uiltec secretaries Giampiero Manca, Marco Nappi and Pierluigi Loi have reached an agreement with the Region . First of all, the 34 workers will not be transferred to Lula : initially they will be employed in Assemini then, over time, they will look for offices closer to Assemini.

Not only that, Igea will immediately pay the back wages , despite the secretaries denouncing a "very serious attitude of the sole administrator, who left the table after just over half an hour, contemptuous towards the institutions, the unions and the workers in struggle" . But it will be the Region itself, this is the commitment made in the meeting (which will be sanctioned by a resolution of the Council), to urge the company to pay the amount due.

«It is a commitment», Manca, Nappi and Loi explain, «which at the moment satisfies our requests and secures the work and dignity of all the workers who have been working in that mine for almost thirty years».

Until midnight, the workers will be available on the site: then the private company Mineraria Gerrei will take over, which has obtained the concessions to restart the mining activity from tomorrow. "Interlocutions with the company were started today", explain the unions, "but it was not possible to close an agreement which will be reached as soon as possible".
