A large fire broke out in Seulo, just steps from homes: four helicopters were dispatched to the scene.

A large fire is threatening homes in Seulo . The flames broke out shortly before 1 p.m. in a wooded area and spread quickly, reaching the town center.

Four helicopters from the regional fleet, including the Super Puma , arrived on site, departing from the bases of S. Cosimo, Sorgono and Fenosu.

By dropping water bombs on the area affected by the fire , an attempt is being made to contain the fire before it reaches a canal, a second wooded area and other houses .

On the ground, the Forestry Corps, firefighters, Forestas and Civil Protection are operating.

No evacuations have been ordered yet, but the mayor is in constant contact with the Civil Protection Department.
