Sestu, a "Maradona ball" explodes: the window of a bar shatters

Serious episode during the night in Sestu : a "Maradona ball" bomb was placed on a bench in via Gorizia and detonated.

The blast shattered the window of a nearby bar, which was closed at the time .

The immediate arrival of a patrol of the Sestu carabinieri coordinated by lieutenant Riccardo Pirali prevented any or planned thefts by possible criminals within the public facility. Other explosions occurred in other parts of the town.

No other damage is reported . Captain Gianni Russo, commander of the Quartu Company, was also on the spot: investigations are continuing to trace the people who planted the bomb in via Gorizia. There are no details yet.
