Sardinian artisans meet Pope Francis in the Vatican

A delegation of Sardinian artisans met Pope Francis this morning in a private audience. There were 6000 from all over Italy, 150 of them arrived from the island.
«Happy to have offered this opportunity to our artisans and their families», said president and secretary of Confartigianato Fabio Mereu and Daniele Serra.
«A meeting - we read in a note - which will remain indelible in the hearts and minds of the business community, strengthening the sense of belonging and awareness of the essential role that artisans play in building a more just and supportive society».
«An opportunity - the representatives of Confartigianato further said - to reflect on fundamental issues such as the dignity of work, solidarity and the social responsibility of companies».
