There is a thin thread that today unites Sant'Antioco, Posada and Stintino: a black thread, woven by three fatal accidents that have transformed an ordinary day into a map of pain spread across the island .

In just a few hours, Sardinia mourned three victims: an esteemed priest, a well-known professional, and a tourist on vacation, united by a fate that left no escape.

In Sant'Antioco, Don Giulio Corongiu, 76, parish priest of Nostra Signora di Bonaria, lost his life . The priest was returning from Cala Sapone when, in the Canai area , he lost control of his car. The vehicle went off the road and the priest, thrown from the vehicle, fell dozens of meters down a cliff. Despite the arrival of the Areus air ambulance and desperate attempts to resuscitate him, there was nothing that could be done. Carabinieri, firefighters, civil defense, and the Barracellare company responded to the scene: among the hypotheses, a sudden illness was suspected.

This morning, however, in Posada, another accident took the life of Davide Mulargia, 45 years old, originally from Nuoro , son of the former general practitioner Giansalvo and Maria Laura Coronas, niece of the police chief Giovanni Coronas.

Mulargia was traveling in his Toyota Yaris Cross along Via Gramsci when, for reasons currently under investigation, a tire struck a curb. The car lost traction, left the road, and crashed into an embankment. The impact was devastating: emergency responders attempted to save him in vain, but his heart stopped instantly. The road was closed for a long time while the vehicle was investigated and towed away.

Finally, last night, a third tragedy occurred in Stintino, just steps from La Pelosa beach. Patrizia Mastrovita, 63, a resident of Milan , died after being hit by an SUV in the private parking lot of the La Pelosetta residence.

According to the Carabinieri's reconstruction, the driver of the BMW—a 52-year-old from Puglia—was attempting to access the residence , climbing uphill, leaning out of the window to activate the barrier. At that moment, the car, with an automatic transmission, moved forward, striking the woman. Again, emergency services were unsuccessful.
