Fear in Macomer, the fire restarts: flames towards the tracks and the RSA
The Forestry Corps helicopter is in action in Funtana Giaga, the same area hit yesterday. The fire is advancing threateningly towards the ARST railway line and the healthcare facility.

Fear in Macomer. The fire in Funtana Giaga has reignited. Yesterday it forced four people to abandon their homes, and today it threatens the railways and a nursing home for the elderly. The Forestry Corps is responding, with the support of a light helicopter from the Cfva operations base in Bosa, to a rekindled fire in the countryside of the municipality of Macomer, in the Funtana Giaga area.
The DOS (Fire Extinguishing Operations Director) of the Macomer forestry station is coordinating the firefighting operations on site. The flames are spreading towards the ARST railway line and the adjacent RSA (Residential Care Home) .
