In the summer of price increases, some receipts posted by customers and consumers made the rounds on the web to complain of excesses that they said were unjustified and unjustifiable.

One example above all: the 2 euros added to the bill of two tourists by the owner of a bar in Gera Lario, in the Como area, just and only for having cut a toast in half.

But the reports do not come only from the catering sector. A reader from Northern Sardinia, Adriana, in fact wanted to report to L'UnioneSarda.it what happened to her in a stationery shop in Porto Torres.

«A few days ago I went to a stationery shop in Porto Torres to have a copy printed, a single sheet.

I sent an email to the shop's email address and asked for the one-page attachment to be printed.

At the time of payment, I was asked for 1 euro and when I objected that it seemed like an excessive cost for just one page, I was told: "Eh, but I had to open the email". An operation that took 2 seconds did not moreover!".

«I think – the bitter gloss – that for e-mails, as for phone calls, the cost is for those who make them and not for those who receive them!! Or maybe I'm wrong?».

As proof of the incident, even the inevitable photo of the receipt.
