Resisting a public official, receiving stolen goods, and driving under the influence . These are the crimes facing a 28-year-old from Quartu Sant'Elena , reported by the Cagliari Local Police after a daring and dangerous escape attempt to avoid a stop.

The chase began on the Poetto seafront , where local motorcyclists intercepted the young man riding a dirt bike without a license plate and without a helmet.
Upon seeing the officers, the 28-year-old made a sudden maneuver and fled in the direction of Quartu . A chase ensued, during which the officers repeatedly called for a stop, to no avail.

The driver was stopped only after a few kilometers and, once stopped, attempted to flee on foot again, but was caught and immobilized.
The young man, visibly impaired and uncooperative, was subjected to a breathalyzer test, which revealed his blood alcohol level exceeded the legal limit . He also had no identification documents or motorcycle registration documents, and was unable to prove his possession of the motorcycle.
He was then accompanied to the Regional Office of the Forensic Police for photo identification and identification.
He was subsequently taken to the Command Barracks in Via Crespellani.
Checks carried out on the motorcycle revealed that the vehicle was not approved for road circulation and that the chassis plates had been removed.
The 28-year-old was thus reported to the judicial authorities and was issued numerous fines for violations of the Highway Code, including lack of insurance coverage, lack of license plates, and driving without a helmet.
