Cagliari: The body of a diver was found in the waters off Capo Sant'Elia.

The body of an 84-year-old diver was found this morning in Cagliari, in the waters of Capo Sant'Elia , not far from the coast.

The victim is a man who went diving every day , and the alarm was raised by some people who saw him every day.

A local police dinghy from Cagliari intervened immediately, then handed over the operation to Coast Guard personnel, who arrived on the scene with a patrol boat and a diving dinghy . Firefighter divers also assisted.

The body was recovered late this morning, and the victim's son was called to the Coast Guard headquarters to identify the body.
