The Bread Nativity Scene in Olmedo lives up to expectations and is a huge hit between Christmas and New Year's Eve. The exhibition, housed in the Romanesque church of Nostra Signora di Talia, is open until January 6th with free admission.
So, spend just a few days admiring the 36th Bread Nativity Scene, a true work of art, composed of statuettes masterfully crafted by the skilled hands of the bakers and those who participated in the course led by the two most experienced bakers in the town, Maria Talia Tidore and Mariella Pinna, promoted by the Municipality of Olmedo, Department of Tradition and Culture.
This jewel, which encompasses the entire town, has long transcended Sardinia's borders and is known nationally and internationally. Last year, it was also designated an artistic nativity scene by the Ministry of Culture and the Città dei Presepi association.
The final-year catechism students have been entrusted with the task of guiding visitors through the Bread Nativity Scene, which will be open to visitors from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and in the afternoon from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The Bread Nativity Scene is organized by the Pro Loco Olmedo in collaboration with the Municipality of Olmedo and the Sassari Chamber of Commerce, as part of the Salude&Trigu project.
