For the fourth consecutive year, the area around Via Vico, Via Manara, and the surrounding streets in Quartu has been without power since last night. Another nightmare for countless people, many elderly and infirm, who couldn't even turn on their air conditioning.

The disruption is being caused by a major fault that Enel technicians will be repairing starting this afternoon. For this reason, power will be cut off even to those who were not affected, for 45 minutes in the early afternoon and another 45 minutes in the evening. Enel itself announced: "Regarding the electrical outages that have affected the area of Via Vico, Via Manara, Via Tommaseo, and the surrounding areas in recent days, E-Distribuzione wishes to express its regret for the inconvenience experienced by customers."

The company announces that "a scheduled and urgent power outage will be implemented today, necessary to allow for the construction of new lines and the execution of technical interventions aimed at restoring full grid reliability. These interventions are essential following the damage caused by the exceptional meteorological phenomenon linked to the heat wave affecting the entire Sardinia region, which has caused critical issues with the electricity distribution network. E-Distribuzione is committed to completing the interventions as quickly as possible, in order to restore a stable and efficient service and minimize any inconvenience related to ongoing operations. E-Distribuzione thanks the residents and the municipal administration for their cooperation and understanding during the execution of the interventions."
