Disruptions related to electrical system failures and work continue, which, combined with extreme heat waves, are severely impacting the municipal area.

To address the planned low-voltage power outage—scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, July 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and expected to affect numerous city streets, including Via Cagliari, Via Marconi, Via Piave, Via Campidano, Via Pola, and Via Mandrolisai— the city administration has responded by making two municipal buildings available to residents as refreshment areas.

Thanks to a dedicated assistance service, born from the close synergy between the Social Services, the maintenance offices, the Women's Council and the Civil Protection volunteers of the "Orsa" and "Assemini Soccorso" associations, the residents of the homes affected by the power outage will be able to find cool shelter and basic necessities .

For the occasion, a hot meal will also be served at lunchtime. The two air-conditioned spaces open for the duration of the outage will be the Municipal Library, located on Via Cagliari, and the first floor of the Maintenance Department on Via Marconi.

"We wanted to set up this dedicated assistance service to offer concrete support to residents during the outage," said Mayor Mario Puddu, emphasizing the initiative's importance. "During all these hot days with power lines down, we felt it was our duty to those who will find themselves without power in their homes to provide this moment of relief, made possible thanks to the invaluable collaboration of the Civil Protection Department and the Women's Council."
