A person beaten to a pulp, in agony, lying on the floor, and several young people, some never identified , entered the victim's home to take items without providing first aid or seeking medical attention. This is the distressing scene that emerged today in the trial , before the judges of the Sassari Assize Court , for the murder of Argentine chef Miguel Angel Paez.
On February 3, two years ago, the 70-year-old man was struck in the head with a heavy belt buckle and left critically ill. He was rescued several hours later at his home on Via Marche . He died in hospital in Olbia from his severe head injuries. On trial are Olbia residents Michael Brundu, Giuliano Petta, and Alex Russo, represented by lawyers Cristina Cherchi, Adriano Catte, and Maria Eleonora Bianco. Investigators questioned in court today confirmed that the images in the possession of the judicial police confirm a very serious circumstance.
