The verdict in the trial for the murder of Francesca Deidda, the forty-two-year-old from San Sperate killed by her confessed husband, Igor Sollai, and hidden inside a duffel bag buried along State Road 125, is expected on July 2 .
This morning in the Court of Cagliari, before the Court presided over by Judge Lucia Perra, with Roberto Cau at her side, the civil lawyers Gianfranco Piscitelli, Elisabetta Margini, Roberto Pusceddu and Pamela Marina Piras spoke, who shared the reconstruction of the crime made in the previous hearing by the prosecutor Marco Cocco, culminating with the request for life imprisonment for Sollai. In the interest of the victim's family - his brother Andrea follows every hearing - compensation of 800 thousand euros was also requested.
The discussion also included the intervention of the defendant's lawyer, Carlo Demurtas, who asked for the recognition of mitigating circumstances, due to Sollai's procedural behavior (he handed over the entire file, effectively canceling the trial) and excluded the premeditation of the crime.
