Reserved and a man of few words. However, he had surprised everyone when in 2013 he decided to have the Sartiglia on Carnival Tuesday led by a woman, Valentina Uda: in the history of the joust it was the third time that this had happened, after the debut in the Seventies by Annadina Cozzoli and the encore in 2010 by Elisabetta Sechi. Today in Oristano Francesco Cadoni died, a historic member of the Gremio dei Falegnami and known to all as Lillino, the president of the "women" , the one who made the Sartiglia pink for two consecutive times.
In fact, Francesco Cadoni chose the fairer sex as race leader also in 2014: on March 4, the top hat was worn by the Amazon Emanuela Colombino.
Francesco Cadoni passed away at the San Martino hospital in Oristano where he was hospitalized, surrounded by the affection of his two daughters. He lived in his house on via Aristana for a lifetime.
The funeral will be held in the Sacred Heart Parish.
