Stefano Boeri will be one of the speakers at "ISOLE#2 – Landscapes of Migration and Reception," the conference scheduled for Friday, October 9th at the former Ilva warehouses in Cala Gavetta , La Maddalena. The architect will speak at the introductory conference with a paper entitled "The Archipelago as a Metaphor for Good Politics."

The event, organized by AIAPP and Associazione Coast, will focus on the relationship between migration, territorial transformation, and landscape design, addressing the topic of reception through the contributions of Italian and international scholars and designers. The event will begin at 9:20 am, after registration and accreditation, scheduled from 9:00 am, and will continue until 6:00 pm. The program will be divided into three panels: "Crossing," "Co-living," and "Rooting." The discussions will focus on migration routes, the right to the city, and the social and environmental changes affecting the Mediterranean. The initiative aims to understand migration not only as a demographic and social phenomenon, but also through its effects on the spaces, communities, and landscapes it traverses. This will lead to a reflection on the potential role of planning in building new models of coexistence and reception.

The La Maddalena Day will also represent the first stage of a process that will continue with a workshop and the development of the La Maddalena Manifesto , a document intended to collect reflections and proposals that emerge from the discussion.
