The investigating judge of Cagliari, Ermengarda Ferrarese, ordered the immediate judgment for the former Sinnai broker Roberto Diomedi and five other people , all accused in various capacities of having participated in a criminal association headed by the former broker and dedicated to the scam , violation of the consolidated act on financial intermediation (abusive investment activity), self-laundering and embezzlement.

According to the investigators, as reported by Ansa, the 52-year-old former broker allegedly set up a colossal scam based on the so-called "Ponzi Scheme" in which dozens of investors were duped for a total value that, at the time of the investigation, was it was around 4 million euros .

A gigantic sumptuous castle the one set up by Roberto Diomedi, capable of organizing between 2017 and 2020, together with his accomplices, conferences and meetings of great effect, in sumptuous locations with the involvement of presenters from the world of entertainment , fashion events and even a trip to Dubai. And so, through a huge pyramid scam, unsuspecting investors have entrusted their savings to Diomedi and his collaborators, attracted by advantageous interests and the immediate collection of a part of these interests. The rumor of quick and easy earnings circulated, but when the payments from the new victims were no longer enough to cover the reimbursements, the castle collapsed.

The accused had strongly denied that he was the mastermind of the pyramid system hypothesized by the Cagliari prosecutor.

In addition to the former broker from Cagliari, immediate judgment was ordered for his sister Barbara, 47, and brother Fabrizio, 41; Valentino Deidda, 39, living in Villacidro; Gianni Da Ros, born in Pordenone, resident in Croatia but de facto domiciled in San Vero Milis together with another defendant, the 33-year-old Erika Lecca.
