Sedilo, the disruption has ended: the "Santu Antinu" tunnel has reopened.

The recently completed "Santu Antinu" tunnel at the Sedilo junction reopened this morning, allowing motorists to once again use the state highway 131 DCN in both directions. This puts an end to the inconvenience they inevitably experienced on the Olbia-Nuoro and Abbasanta-Olbia routes. Since March 24th, light traffic had been directed toward the town of Sedilo, while heavy and profiled vehicles were routed along specially marked alternative routes.
Despite some inconveniences, such as trucks arriving from inland areas that missed the signs and headed toward the town entrance, there were no major problems. Mayor Salvatore Pes stated he was satisfied with the work done by ANAS and thanked the Oristano provincial administration for the work done to improve the alternative provincial roads.
"I would like to thank the police for their service," Pes stated, "and Anas for the work they've done to improve the safety of the provincial roads."
The completion of the work and the reopening of a renovated and safe tunnel is an important achievement for motorists using the 131 dcn. Work on the second tunnel will begin soon.
