"Alliances, knowledge, synergies to combat gender-based violence" is the title of the meeting scheduled for Tuesday 3 May (at 3 pm) in the Dostoevsky classroom of the Dumas Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Sassari .

This is the second of the four awareness-raising workshops relating to the "Start_In Rete per Divire" project, funded by the Foundation of Sardinia.

The initiative stems from the collaboration between the University Center for Interdisciplinary Gender Studies (ARGINO) and four of the anti-violence centers in Sardinia: those of Sassari (CAV Aurora), Oristano (Donna Eleonora), Olbia (Prospettiva Donna) and Macomer (CAV Marghine ).

The meeting on Tuesday 3 May, organized by the CAV of Olbia and managed by the Perspective Woman Association, will host the interventions of Patrizia Desole , president of the Perspective Woman Association and the psychologist-psychotherapist Carla Concas .

During the workshop, a work that the artist Manu Invisible donated to the cause of the fight against gender violence will be exhibited. The work will be presented by Roberto Concas , former director of the state museums of Cagliari, who will illustrate with his speech the function of art in initiatives to combat gender violence.

The event, which has Maria Lucia Piga as its scientific director, admits the participation of a maximum of 40 students from the University of Sassari.

The Start project then foresees two other subsequent appointments: on May 18 "Assisted violence within the family: from the recognition of the problem to the responses of the services" with interventions by the social worker Giovanna Piana and the psychologist Giovanna Cottu and on May 25 on the topic " The social worker in the face of gender-based violence. Professionalism, empathy, teamwork, skills and strategies for effective intervention "with interventions by the psychologist Silvia Piredda and the social worker Francesca Morittu .
