Another fiery Sunday for Sardinia, still gripped by wildfires. From north to south, winds and high temperatures are fueling the flames, forcing the Forestry Corps, firefighting teams, and volunteers to work tirelessly.
The most critical situations – at the moment – are recorded on three different fronts.
In Muravera, in the Monte Barraccas area, two helicopters—one from the Villasalto base and a Super Puma from Fenosu—are supporting the firefighting operations coordinated on site by the Firefighting Operations Director (DOS) of the local forestry patrol.
In Oliena , in the Ponte di Oloe area, a helicopter taking off from the Farcana base is supporting the work of the ground teams led by the Orgosolo Forestry Corps.
Finally, in Bottida , in the Riu Caramiddai area, a helicopter from the Anela operational base is in action, coordinated by the Bono forestry patrol.
