The shadow of 4,500 wind turbines casts its shadow over Sardinia. And now the attack comes from the sea.
Around the island's coast, there are plans for 800 offshore towers. Without a constitutional provision, the territory risks being inaccessible.Offshore blades (Archive)

It should be noted: for now, there isn't even a single turbine off the coast of Sardinia. The problem will be when, with the revision of the Fratin Decree, the rules for their installation are established, assuming, in the meantime, that a constitutional law hasn't been passed on the island to prevent an attack that currently appears unhindered.
But the reality is different: if all the procedures were to go ahead, the island would be surrounded—give or take a blade—by 800 wind turbines, some more than three hundred meters high, off its picture-perfect beaches. In Gallura alone, 250 would appear. However, it could be even wider.
An unprecedented outrage, which from north to south of our island would undermine the ecosystem, posing some risk to human health as well. Considering the 2,500 new onshore turbines envisaged by the projects, plus the 1,200 already in place, the projected number would be several thousand: at best, approximately 4,500 onshore and offshore turbines. A frightening number.
The projects raising the greatest concerns are those of Ichnusa Wind srl, a company owned by Eni, to build an industrial wind farm with 42 turbines over 300 meters high between Carloforte and Porto Flavia, Plagemesu, and Fontanamare. Furthermore, between Sulcis and Medio Campidano, the London-based company AvenHexicon plans to install 55 floating turbines, 320 meters high, spread over an area of over 50 square kilometers.
