Guspini, missing for hours while looking for mushrooms: Elisabetta, 83, is safe

Misadventure with a happy ending in Guspini, where on Thursday afternoon an 83-year-old woman got lost in the Gentilis countryside while looking for mushrooms with her dog.

Found safe and sound only around midnight, after hours of anguish and searches, Elisabetta Soddu, originally from Gonnosfanadiga and resident in San Nicolò Arcidano, was rescued and taken for a check-up in hospital. Once discharged, she was finally able to return to her home.

It was the police, after hours of searching, who found the woman: she was in a mountain area, sitting with her dog Prisca and next to her basket full of mushrooms, which she never wanted to part with.
