Palau, “Monuments meet reading” kicks off

It starts on Saturday 5 July at 9:30 pm in Palau, where the Montiggia complex will be the setting for the presentation of the latest book by writer Enrica Tesio , entitled “I sorriso non fanno rumore”, published by Bompiani. She will be in conversation with the author Pinuccia Sechi. This is the first of six events in the traveling literary festival “I monumento incontra la lettura”, now in its 14th edition. The events will take place in two locations in Palau, two in Santa Teresa Gallura and two in Aglientu, from 5 July to 5 August, with “dialogues, reflections and magic for all tastes and age groups”, organized by the Cooperativa CoolTour Gallura.
On July 11, again in Palau, in Piazza Popoli d'Europa (9:30 p.m.), Beppe Severgnini will present “Socrates, Agata and the Future. The Art of Aging with Philosophy”, published by Rizzoli, in dialogue with the journalist Paolo Ardovino.
On July 22nd at 7:00 pm, at the Fonte Antica in Aglientu, the writer Danilo Sacco will tell “Donne senza paura. Vite coraggiose per i diritti e la parità di genere”, published by Odoya.
Saturday 25 July, appointment in Santa Teresa Gallura, in Piazza del Sapere (9:00 pm), with the presentation of the book “Making Things Happen” by Sebastiano Bazzoni. He will be in conversation with the author Ilaria Battino.
On August 5th, instead, there will be a suggestive event at the archaeological site of Lu Brandali, also in Santa Teresa Gallura: an astronomical observation is scheduled by the Nuorese Astronomical Association. To participate, you must send an email to cooltourgallura@gmail.com.
The traveling literary review “Monuments meet reading” will end on September 5th in Rena Majore (Aglientu) , in Piazza Sirenella at 9:00 pm, with Gianpaolo Imbriani who will tell “The story of a promise”, made to his brother Carmelo, who died at 37 years old. All events, except for the astronomical observation, have free admission.
