For 24 hours Graziano Mesina has been locked up in the Badu 'e Carros prison in Nuoro, where he was taken after his arrest two nights ago in Desulo which put an end to his inaction which had lasted since July 2020. The unsuspected spouses who hosted him in a house between via Nuoro and vico Gennargentu they are instead under house arrest and under investigation for aiding and abetting. But there would not be only them - Antioco Gioi, 56, and his wife Basilia Puddu, 47 - according to investigators in the network of supporters that allowed the former red primrose of Sardinian banditry to escape capture for all these months. And the investigative activities are not over.

Certainly Grazianeddu never moved from his Sardinia: the hypotheses of escape to Corsica or Tunisia do not find any element of confirmation, he probably took refuge in several dens and one of these the carabinieri had come very close. Then Mesina had once again done away with his tracks, ready as always to go into hiding. The other night he was in bed dressed too, in a sweater and jeans, used to disappearing in a few minutes in search of a safer place. And when the military blew up the front door, he woke up with a start. A few seconds to understand that his hiding was over.
