After almost two weeks of agony, the 84-year-old woman invested in Cagliari, in via Quirra, in the Is Mirrionis district, died in hospital. The injuries sustained last November 4, when the old woman was run over by a van while crossing the street with her 55-year-old daughter on the pedestrian crossing were too serious.
The man driving the truck had tested positive for the alcohol test, which he had been subjected to after the accident by local police officers, who intervened on the spot for the reliefs.
The position of the man is therefore aggravated, and he will now have to answer for road murder.
