Garbage scattered across the countryside, piles of dirt where there should be only silence and fields. The latest environmental outrage has caused the anger of the mayor of Villanovaforru, Maurizio Onnis, to explode, who has chosen social media to send a clear and unequivocal message: «We will catch you».

The mayor does not mince his words, accompanying the post with a photo of the rubbish dump left by unknown people in the rural areas of the territory .

"Whoever left this dump," Onnis writes, "obviously thinks that the ecological transition does not concern him. But if we catch him (and we will do everything to catch him), we will convince him otherwise. In our parts, there is no longer room for such ignorance."

The tone is direct, almost judicial. And it is not just a vent. Those who hoped to remain invisible may soon find themselves face to face with the consequences of their own incivility.
