The ordinances for Giorgino have been revoked, but the one that imposes a ban on bathing at Poetto remains.

The Municipality of Cagliari has announced this, in light of the results of the new analyses conducted by Arpas at the sampling points that yesterday led to the issuing of the order to stop diving from the Marino hospital to the area near the Ottagono (the establishment is not affected) and to kilometres 5 and 6 of the coast along the Sulcitana .

On Centomila beach, the Escherichia coli levels have not returned to normal.

For the mayor Massimo Zedda «the problem does not depend on the Molentargius canals which, as everyone knows, near the hippodrome, suck water from the sea through the pump and do not flow into the sea. The causes are probably linked to the high temperatures of these days, the lack of wind and possible discharges from boats. All these consequences have contributed to the occurrence of these pollution values, detected by Arpas».

The Municipality of Cagliari, adds the mayor, "has promptly accepted the analyses of the body by adopting the ordinances, signed in recent days, and is following the evolution of the situation which could be resolved in a short time following a climate change".
