For eight days they illegally occupied at least three rooms of a bed and breakfast in Cagliari .

A 46-year-old from Gergei and a 22-year-old from Decimomannu, both unemployed and with previous complaints, were reported by the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section for home theft and trespassing.

The two had managed to open the safety deposit box at the entrance of a bed and breakfast in via Roma, stealing a passepartout key which allowed them to sleep comfortably in at least three rooms. In the morning they disappeared into thin air, trying not to leave a trace, but the owner of the facility noticed that the beds had been used and that the towels were still damp.

Yesterday, therefore, he "ambushed" them: as soon as he saw them arrive, ready to enjoy another free night in a hotel in the heart of Cagliari, he called the Carabinieri in via Nuoro who immediately intervened. In the excited escape that followed, the two were reached and identified. With them they had the access keys and also a hairdryer stolen from "their" room.
