Christmas miracle in Su Siccu: parapets have appeared in the cycle-pedestrian bridge between the Nervi park and the heart of Sant'Elia car park, above the San Bartolomeo canal in Cagliari. It seems like little news. Instead, it was precisely their absence (or rather, the wrong material used for the previous ones) that constituted the last obstacle that blocked a construction site as simple as it was long: the completion of the project has been awaited for years.

Giving evidence of the possible turning point is Virgilio Scanu, of Fiab, who monitors the conditions of the work almost every day, awaiting the long-awaited opening.

«Perhaps in a hurry Santa Claus brought them in a different colour, these are grenade, perhaps destined for other locations», quips the representative of the association of environmentalist cyclists, «but after a long time we are only interested in the functionality of the cycle/pedestrian bridge. It will not be up to us, but to someone else, to verify the change in the characteristics of the steels envisaged in the project (Aisi 316L) and those now used".
